At Persona, we're incredibly proud of our amazing team. We think they're smart, funny, and kind, and we're sure you'll think the same. That's why we started this blog series to help you get to know the people behind Persona.

Today, meet Zoey, a CSM team lead who loves coffee, yoga, good music, and burritos (who doesn't?). Learn more about Zoey's typical day, why she chose Persona, and more in this short Q&A:

What does your typical day look like at Persona?

I probably spend around 50-75% of my day on Slack communicating with customers. With the rest of the time, I'm usually in internal meetings with product and business teams or external ones with clients.

Why did you choose Persona?

I ultimately chose Persona because of the people. I knew Christie Kim, our COO, beforehand, and upon meeting Kathleen Cui, my current manager, I admired that not only were they strong businesswomen, but they were also expert professionals at their craft. After my last company, I was really craving mentorship and guidance. I wanted the freedom to make decisions and try things, but I also wanted to have guardrails that would steer me in the right direction. Both Christie and Kathleen trust me to run with things, but they also give me direct feedback when I need to pivot.

Additionally, I enjoy being able to work cross-functionally with different teams. Our product team, for example, is always going above and beyond to make the lives of operational teams like mine more efficient. I really enjoy collaborating with so many different people and thinking of new ideas together.

Tell us one thing that people may not know about you.

I am currently a yoga instructor here in San Francisco in the afternoons and on the weekends. I love sharing this with others and advertising my classes to fellow Personerds!

Since joining Persona, what has been your favorite memory working here?

Many of my favorite memories have honestly been with some of my clients. I've become friends with several of the organizations that I work with, and we talk quite often. Whenever I help solve their issue, they are always super appreciative, and it is wonderful to know that what I do makes a difference.

Who is someone you look up to or admire at Persona and why?

Kathleen is a person that I admire a lot because she is very impactful with her words; she's concise and to the point, but she perfectly balances it all with great examples. I also look up to Ross from the Product team and Jes from our Engineering team: Ross brings so much energy to work and makes everything fun, and I love how inclusive Jes is — she truly makes people feel seen.

What advice would you like to give people who are currently job searching?

Show your weaknesses. No one is looking for a perfect individual, and if they are, who would want to work there? I thoroughly enjoy conversations with people who are self-aware and understand what they need to work on.

Stay tuned as we continue featuring more Personerds in this ongoing series!
